Litigation / Transactional Attorney

 

The desired candidate must be licensed to practice law in the State of Wisconsin, and should have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Our attorneys are allowed to work remotely when appropriate.

 

Position requires strong advocacy skills and a person who can take the lead in a case from start to finish, including management of the file. Strong writing and research skills as well as an ability to effectively communicate with clients, coworkers, and opposing counsel are required.

 

Compensation is commensurate with experience and provides an opportunity to control your own earning potential.

 

Willingness to participate in business development efforts is essential.

Paralegal

 

Fuhrman & Dodge, S.C., a Middleton-based law firm, is looking to hire a Paralegal to assist attorneys and clients in all aspects of litigation matters.  A background in transactional matters is a plus.  The ideal candidate will be detail oriented and possess strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and in a team setting.

 

Position Details:

  • Full time, hourly, non-exempt position
  • Schedule may develop into a hybrid work environment with occasional remote work available

Position Requirements:

  • Drafting general litigation pleadings
  • Processing court filings and other case-related documents, including calculating, docketing and maintaining calendar entries
  • Docketing deadlines and managing attorney calendars
  • Preparing correspondence, pleadings, garnishments, settlement demands, discovery demands and responses, and other case-related documents
  • Proficiency in Federal and State Court e-filing systems, Best Case, PACER, ECF, and MS Office products
  • Communicating with clients, including completing new client intake
  • Paralegal degree or certificate (equivalent work experience will be considered in lieu of degree)
  • Minimum of two (2) years’ work experience as a litigation paralegal
